Positive: The view is very nice, the whirlpool was also very nice.

Negative: There were a lot of issues here starting with the price of the room: almost $800 (US) for one night booked a year in advance for the month of January when the area is literally a ghost town. $50 extra for self parking in a lot that is a 4 min walk away (wouldn’t care so much if it wasn’t in the middle of a winter storm). I was told this was one of those once in a lifetime things to do because of the view: the view is very nice, but don’t be fooled by some of those videos seen on social media where you’re right on the falls, you’re a bit of a ways from the actual water. Still definitely beautiful, especially at dawn. Unfortunately the windows were dirty and there was a huge bar in the middle of the window so… just not great. We stayed in a hotel in Toronto the following night and our room had a gorgeous view of the city with giant windows that were clean for 1/3rd of the price, so it’s hard not to compare. We ordered room service which was of course pricey: all was good except for the eggs Benedict that were inedible due to the hollandaise being broken. Again, just frustrating seeing how much we are spending. Finally, front desk staff was kind enough but definitely made us feel very strange due to booking through a 3rd party: took like 10 minutes to check us in, had to check multiple types of ID, and then demanded to see our confirmation emails, and just making us wait and not really talking, looking kind of almost confused, almost like they couldn’t find our reservation… just kind of a weird vibe, and again, not what we experienced in Toronto. Finally, we were not super impressed with the room: it’s outdated and it was pretty dusty. Just not worth the price in any way, I would say about $175 a night would be way more appropriate.

Summary: Kind of disappointing and not worth the price.
