Your own private home with such an epic pool and under 10 minutes walk to the Ave! A favorite among guests RARE 4 bedroom 2 full baths, bidets, bathrobes and a fully stocked kitchen. Beach chairs/umbrellas, grill and fun touches for an unforgettable stay. Coffee shop 100 ft from your door. Marina or gaslit mansion walks, beach 25-30 min walk.
The space
THE HOME
This home is perfect for people who plan on hanging out downtown and at the beach, and want a nearby retreat of their own, next to all of the action.
Modern, renovated 1,500 sq ft bungalow home with a gorgeous large onyx pool, sun shelf, hot tub, hammock, hanging bed and outdoor teak table and beds for everyone. Fruit trees, seasonal! HUGE lovesac oversized luxury sofa. Master bedroom has Beauty Rest mattress and adjustable bed frame. Epic pool/spa. On the edge of city life, in the suburbs!
The pool is ALWAYS HEATED in the cooler months to take the chill out.
Please note: The space themed room and then Eliptical machine bedroom (bedrm 4) BOTH have an extra hidden twin bed stored away. For a child or an adult guest staying a couple of nights, the folded mattress in space room closet is good. Adults/longer stays, we recommend the non-folding twin in the elliptical machine bedrm closet. Both mattresses are memory foam. The solid non-folding mattress in bedrm 4 is more comfortable for longer stays/adults.
Please ask in advance for set-up of the 1 or 2 additional twin beds ($150/per bed set-up fee per stay or DIY and please put away after to avoid extra cleaning fee $75/per bed left out).
The sofa can accommodate 2 sleeping children or 2 sleeping adults. It is not a sofa bed, it is a large sectional. See photos of the sofa, it's much larger than it appears.
The Master bedroom has a 1yr old king Beauty Rest mattress with adjustable frame for back and feet. It's a medium firmness, not quite firm but not super soft, in the middle.

Bedrm #3: 1 Queen (and 1 twin bed, the frame is under the bed if needed, folding twin mattress in closet)

WHAT PEOPLE LOVE ABOUT THE HOME LOCATION:
Your 8 to 10 min stroll up SE 4th to the Ave has you at Kilwins, Lemongrass, Cut 432 to your right and Vic and Angelos, Park Tavern, Roccos Tacos, The Office/Pinapple Grove neighborhood a block to your left. Guests love grabbing a quick coffee 100 ft from the front door at Foxtail before a walk to the marina. Late night nibbles, people love walking to a hidden gem called Beg for More Sushi. Morning coffee on a bench at the marina is a morning routine as is walking to the beach (@25 min) for exercise before it becomes too hot. Walking at night along quiet lamplit mansions in the area is also a favorite, 7th ave and Palm Trail neighborhood stroll. People love that the home is far enough East where nothing is too far of a walk, especially Deck 84 or the Saturday Green Market. Since the ALOFT is across the street, rainy days have people heading to its fancy lobby for a drink, bite and game of pool for restless days with unknown plans. Being by 5th/6th your car ride to get groceries or run an errand is SO FAST heading North or South.

YAY DOWNTOWN! But NOISEY?
For being extremely close to the bustling downtown area, literally on the edge of the city, inside the house is actually surprisingly quiet. It's your oasis, next to the action of town. However it's still by the city. See the below points:
-Nap away! House is nice and quiet.
-No noisey crowds of people, they are all on Atlantic Ave.
-Super quiet neighborhood, neighbors are quiet.
-No loud music is heard from clubs, bars, or restaurants over here.
-You'll sleep in silence always, undisturbed every night.
-Mornings outside by the pool before rush hour are very tranquil, enjoy your coffee watching the sun come up directly East.
-Afternoons by the pool are fairly quiet with some faint swooshing of cars from the city/Federal highway, outside of rush hour, not enough to bother you. If you're playing music, listening to your kids play in the water, or deep into a book, you won't even notice.
-After dinner time into the evening, is pretty quiet outside. Enjoy a romantic hot tub evening, a nice chat catching up with friends, or an evening swim in
a tranquil, quiet environment.
-Rush hour times (8 am-10:30 am and 4:30 pm-6:30 pm) can be noticeably noisy outside-only but only swooshing of cars in the distance, you won't find horns blaring, traffic jams, sirens, etc. Just the swooshing sound of cars going by as people come and go from work.
IN SUMMARY:
You should stay here if you love being walking distance to downtown and close to the beach, but would like a little paradise for yourself to come home to. You enjoy that this is a little peaceful sanctuary to swim and BBQ, but are realistic knowing that you are not suddenly in the country with nobody around for miles. Expect some light swooshing car noise as you are near the pulse of the city during busy hours, but enough quiet where you can sleep, relax and be undisturbed during your stay.
WHY THE LOCATION IS EXCELLENT:
Your location is unbeatable for a downtown stay because you are so close to federal HWY. This puts you in the center (middle) of downtown, close to everything. If you are staying on Swinton for example, you are close to only one end of downtown. The new Delray Marketplace? IPic? ALL breakfast/brunch spots in town? 2 to 3 blocks away! You can easily walk 2 blocks to many restaurants, coffee shops and cafes as well as fitness studios on or near Federal Hwy 1-2 blocks away. Other rental properties in the area further West, have a further walk to the "good stuff" you want to walk to daily. Walk across Federal HWY to the Marina district EASILY and enjoy the boats. You want to dine at Cut 432, LemonGrass, Vic and Angelos, Roccos Tacos, all the good spots??? Well you are on the avenue which is the CLOSEST to those places. You can stroll over to the marina and Deck 84 in no time! Walk to the beach for a workout effortlessly!
Driving out of the area North or South is a breeze as well. You're at Publix, CVS or a liquor store in SECONDS. So if you can deal with some light WHOOSHING car sounds at rush hour heard by the pool, you struck walkable city gold staying here.
The backyard has a 6' privacy fence and many tall palms and bananas around the yard, with more being planted and growing all the time. You have privacy from the outside street always and other houses. You can see the back end of the ALOFT (condo-side) of the building windows, of their top floors when you are outside in the backyard in some areas of the yard/patio. However the 2-4 ALOFT condo residents facing the yard can't see most of the pool or patio should anyone be looking out a window. Please see the photo in POOL section of the gallery which shows you this.
OUTDOOR CAMERAS
There are outdoor cameras at the front and back entry doors, the driveway gate, and the side street view. We do not have pool cameras.
PRESENTS UPON ARRIVAL
Do tell me the nature of your visit and if possible, a little about yourself and your fellow guests. I love to make sure gift baskets are there (size depending on the length of stays). I have been known to leave a welcome gift of a gift card to a local restaurant, a basket of fruit and snacks, a bbq sauce set, and I've even had pizza delivered for tired families arriving after a long drive with hungry kids. Last month, I had a brand-new memory foam dog bed for someone's furry best friend and a bowl with his name on it. Please tell me how I can best welcome you!
GOOD TO KNOW
I personally inspect the entire property prior to your arrival, despite having full trust in my stellar cleaning person. I make sure things are all accounted for and in working order. I also regularly get the AC and pool electrical inspected to ensure all is well. If anything at the property is reasonably not perfect, I will likely be more upset than you are about it, because I pride myself in my professionalism and truly want to make guests happy and enjoy their stay.
I ALWAYS go above and beyond to correct any single little detail that is not right and I do so IMMEDIATELY. PLEASE tell me if anything isn't right immediately because I can and will fix it for you and I will be HAPPY to make it right as soon as I can.
A family BBQ, a girls weekend, playing some music inside/outside a little loud before midnight, these things are all OK as long as my place is respected and any truly accidental damages are disclosed. I really do want you to have a good time so please have a good time!
We are all going to break that wine glass or that mug. It's not the end of the world. Telling me about it is VERY MUCH appreciated because I now have time to replace it for future guests and also myself, and I am not scrambling last minute.
Larger accidental damages are ok as long as they're disclosed right away to me so I can fix/replace for you or before my next guests arrive.
You'll find me super fast to answer your questions or concerns, and immediately making sure something that isn't quite right, is now right. My goal is for you to enjoy my home and it brings me so much joy to make happen.

Summary: Great location, large 4 bedroom so we all weren't on top of each other. Super hot tub to relax in after night on the"Ave". Close to beach and night spots.Would definately stay again. Box of crumble cookies waiting for us upon arrival.Anita was readily available for all our foolish questions.
