The Great Sacandaga Lake is called the Adirondack Mountains’ best kept secret for good reason. The lake is a mecca for boating, water sports, snowmobiling, skiing, fishing and all kinds of recreation. Those that know it well always come back. WINTER FUN: Snowmobiling
If you’re an avid snowmobiler, the Great Sacandaga Lake freezes in the winter and is a great place to bring your snowmobile. There are snowmobile trail systems that connect to the lake, this includes, the Saratoga Trails and the Southern Adirondack (closest to the house) Trail System. Both trail systems are accessible from the house by driving onto the frozen lake. There are also multiple restaurants accessible from the lake or trail systems. You can bring your snowmobile while staying at the cabin and leave directly from the cabin to hit the trails!
