Summary: We have stayed in the La Defense area many times but this was the first time down near the River. Our 2 bedroom suite was great and was nice to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by. It's a 5 minute walk to the Esplanade metro station. Bear it mind much of the La Defense area is elevated so expect lots of stairs. There aren't many amenities right by the hotel but you are a short 15 minute walk up to the Westfield mall and also lots of other places around it. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel as it was very expensive. There are a number of bakeries within an easy walk of the hotel. Also note that if you are getting dropped off / picked up by a taxi they probably will end up at the entrance to the hotel next door. We used a airport transfer app and was about 30 - 40 minutes to CdG each way. Would definitely stay again.
