Situated on over one acre of land, Donan House features a spacious front yard that is perfect for yard games (cornhole, horseshoes, and badminton all provided!), playing catch (basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, and baseball gloves/balls all provided!), taking a nap in the hammock, or just relaxing in the sun. There is a spacious covered gazebo, picnic table, hot tub, and fire pit all located in the back and side yards of the house, while over half of the property is covered with woods that are teeming with deer, foxes, rabbits, birds, and other animals - please be respectful of all animals and Mother Nature, especially if you have a pet with you. Firewood is provided for the fire pit, and all the ingredients for s'mores are provided in the kitchen (roasting sticks, marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers). Enjoy!
The house offers three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The bedrooms and bathrooms are split between two floors. Bedroom 1 is located on the top floor, features a king sized bed, and has a private bathroom on the same floor. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are located on the main floor along with another full bathroom. Bedroom 2 features a single queen sized bed, and bedroom 3 features a queen sized bed and full sized bunk beds. The main floor also features a fireplace and seating area with a queen sized pullout couch.
The ground floor features another fireplace and seating area with two twin sized mattresses and a queen sized air mattress, a sectional couch, and widescreen TV with cable, Prime Video, and Netflix included. There is also a fully-furnished game room with a pool/air hockey/ping pong table, poker table, video game area, and board games. Lastly, there is a Harry Potter themed room in the "cupboard under the stairs" furnished with various Harry Potter memorabilia and all seven books for guests to read at their leisure. For those guests who prefer other books, a reading nook and library stocked with various classical fiction novels are available on the upper level, along with several comfy blankets.
The kitchen and dining areas are located on the main floor, and there is a propane grill (propane is provided) on the deck outside the main floor. All traditional cooking tools are provided, including cooking utensils, knives, pots, pans, cutting boards, mixing bowls, plates/bowls/silverware for 24, spices, olive oil, salt and pepper, etc. There is also a dishwasher for easy cleanup, and all the tools needed for grilling or roasting hot dogs/marshmallows on the firepit. A fully-stocked coffee bar, including drip coffee and single-cup coffee makers, coffee grounds, and Keurig pods, is also located in the kitchen.
